My latest design is with a yummy, sproingy yarn from Dream in Color Yarn called Classy. It is a multi-plied hand-dyed superwash wool that has terrific stitch definition. It is perfect for my Circle Vest:
There are 5 sizes: 33" (36 1/2", 40", 44 1/2", 48") and requires only 3 (3, 3, 4, 4) hanks. Each hank has approximately 250 yards of hand-dyed perfection. This color is Gold Rush:
Dream in Color were gracious enough to provide yarn for a test knitter as well. This most lovely color is Lipstick Lava:
This vest is super quick knit at 4.5 stitches per inch. There is waist shaping and the shoulders are finished with the ever-ready 3 needle bind off. Garter stitch at the bottom for a couple of inches keep the fabric obediently flat. It is worked in the round from the bottom up. At the armholes, the front and back are worked separately and flat with the precious little circle cables. This is my test kntter's vest, showing the simple 4 stitch cables that create so much fabric movement with very little effort:
And the front:
Full back:
I was so surprised how fast this vest worked up and I hope you find that true as well. Sorry I took the photos at a bit of strange angle since those waists look funny, don't you think?
The pattern is a PDF download and available from the Dream in Color website for $6. The link back to the Ravelry page (where you are directed to Paypal) is here.
As always, thank you for your support.
Knit on!
