Are you hesitant to knit socks because of the small gauge? Then Rimrock is for you! These socks cruise right along at 5.5 stitches and 10 rows per inch with DK weight yarn. I used Rowan's Pure Wool DK, an absolute perfect superwash wool in my book.
What is faster knitting than a DK weight sock? A worsted weight sock! So I included those too in this pattern. The worsted weight is 5.5 stitches per inch as well but with 6.75 rows per inch in Cascade's Superwash and Superwash Paints.
This is a classic cuff down sock with ribbing down the entire sock for the perfect fit. Throughout the entire pattern there are explanations for every part of the sock. There are also diagrams throughout the pattern including ones for Kitchener Stitch that is used for the toe. If you are a seasoned sock knitter, there is a section for "Just the Facts, Ma'am" that omit the extra explanations. The specifics are listed below:

Gauge:
DK weight: 22 stitches and 40 rounds = 4 inches in stockinette stitch. Worsted weight: 22 stitches and 27 rounds = 4 inches in stockinette stitch.

7 1⁄2” leg and foot circumference, 9” length
Size 2: women’s shoe 8 – 9 men’s shoe 6 – 7
