One of my favorite words...progress...and for all the glory that it entails. Look what actually is finished:
It turned out to be approximately 4" wide and 70" inches long. My goal was 60" so I was thrilled I didn't undershoot it. Plus, what a fabulous multi-colored vertical line, no?
To review since it has been over 365 days since this baby was started:
Summit by Mandie Harrington in Knitty.com's Spring & Summer 2010 issue. I used size 2 needles with 1 ball of Zauberball by Schoppel-Wolle. It is a wonderful single ply wool, 3.5 ounces, 459 yards, 75% wool, 25% nylon. Sorry, the ball band is loooooong gone so I cannot give you a colorway name.
In the name of progress, there is even a sleeve:
Gasp! I know! My Gaia by Kristen TenDyke is finally looking like a cardigan. When meauring, my armhole was 9" instead of 8.5", so I went up a size with the sleeve stitch counts and am very pleased with how the sleeve fits, so it was a good call. I worked the sleeve straight, 11" from underarm, and finished with three rounds of reverse stockinette stitch as written in the pattern.
Look what perfect gift a friend gave me:
A semi-solid hand dyed sock yarn from J. Knits (their website is under construction so that is their Ravelry page). Even better, the colorway is the perfect green named Maine. Since my friend is from Maine, how perfect is that? It is begging for a leaf scarf of some accord. Even cuter is the back of the label:
My lastest designs come in a most perfect box:
The 2012 Knitting Calendar. Out of the 100+ patterns, even if you like only 10, it is a great deal at only $14.95. Perfect gift, too. I have some bread and butter patterns in it this year:
My mom's washcloth is the perfect project to have stuffed in your purse and to give as a hostess gift with a yummy bar of soap. Another perfect gift are these handwarmers:
And finally, one of my favorite scarves:
Pick a crazy sock yarn, a solid worsted and add an easy broken rib pattern and you have a wonderful gift that looks like a million bucks.
Have a perfect knitterly weekend, preferably outside on your patio with perfect flowers. Knit on.
