Meet my new favorite flower, the Spoon Petal Daisy:
The ends of their petals really are spoon-shaped! Is that trippy or what? I stumbled upon these on accident at Billings Nursery a couple of years ago and now I can't live without them every spring. I didn't buy any last year thinking I COULD live without them, but I was wrong. This year, I don't know if you can quite tell becuase it is so bright outside, but they are a pinkish purple. Perfect.
And with their friends:
I so enjoy watching these all summer. Those little firecracker red ones are new to me this year. So precious yet loud in their own dynamite way, they came home too.
We cannot forget about the lilac bushes doubling as my hedge:
And a piece of heaven inside:
Rumor has it this is actually a knitting blog, so I show you the finished reknit of my favorite vest, the Skye Tweed Vest (Ravelry page) designed by Cecily Glowik MacDonald:
Love it, love it, love it. I even have it on right now since there is a bit of bite in the air and a vest is the right answer. Another one is in the works for a friend's birthday. After this one, I think I will be done with this pattern for a while (I've counted 5, I believe, that I have knit in the last couple of years). It still will be one of my comfort knitting projects I will run to when I don't want to think, that's for sure.
Hope you are enjoying spring wherever you are. Knit on.
