It is not every day you hear these words. In fact, I had yet to hear these words from anyone, ever. My daughter told me this morning she needed a drink of water because she had the hiccups. As I walked away after giving her the water she said, "No, Mom, don't go. You need to stick your fingers in my ears to get rid of the hiccups." I was momentarily stunned and then did what I was told as she drank the water. I can't tell you if it worked because I was still so surprised as she bounded off to finish getting ready for kindergarten.
Please meet my daughter, Kate (5 going on 25) very much enjoying the swing at a park near our home:
Here is the same picture flipped so you can see her better, though it makes me motion sick looking at it (something about the ground being in the air, I guess):
Also meet my fabulous two boys: Wade on the left (9, 4rd grade) and Paul (11 tomorrow, 5th grade):
The best for last is my hubbo, Dan (with Wade), taken a couple months ago on a mini-vacation:
He loves being the photographer, so notice how even this picture of him is a self-portrait. Now you are current and have met those who live with me in my fiber-filled home. And if you get the hiccups you know what to do as well.
